"Salt Freakout" shows a simulation of a salt crystal. When the
participants wave their arms around, they add kinetic energy to the mixture
causing the solution to heat up. As the temperature rises, the salt
crystal begins to dissolve and eventually all the atoms are zipping around
in solution. When the participants stop moving, the solution cools and
the atoms will precipitate back into a crystal.
